1. If you would like to use raw chicken , then boil the chicken and make a broth put of it. (Please refer to how to make broth recipe for more detail)

If you are using rotisserie chicken , separate the chicken with the meat. The bones will be use to make a broth(or for faster process use chicken broth already made) and the meat will add to congee.

2. Use overnight rice or , have your rice cooker cook congee and use that mushy rice for faster result. If using raw rice then boil the rice to the consistency of your liking.

3. Add everything else but goji berry and bring it to a boil . When it's boiling add bonito flakes/package. Turn it down to a simmer and then boil for 1-2 hours.

4. When there's about half an hour left , put in the goji berry.

5. Serve with green onion, bonito flakes , sesame oil if desire.
